I grew up in London UK and Nigeria. I began my professional career as a technician in Zoology at Queen Mary University London. From there I moved to the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences as technical manager and later became the director of operations. After fifteen years in Bermuda, I moved to Panama to become director of science support for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. After ten years in Panama I moved to the Bodega Marine Laboratory, University of California as Associate Director. I retired from science in 2003 when I move to Salt Spring. Since then, I have run my own consulting company and been mostly involved with construction project management
